Tiny Army Logo

February 1st, 2008 by SteamCrow

We’ve been busy behind the scenes here at Tiny Army (tA).

We’re currently preparing for our first meeting, and getting lots of things knocked out.

One of those things, is our new logo. I’m proud to announce our new logo/mascot/avatar… the Tiny Army Samurai:

Tiny Army Logo

While he has no “official” or formal name, I can tell you that his design does symbolize some things that I feel our important to our group:

  • The tough expression suggests that we as professionals need to have a tough skin
  • The star stands for excellence and high achievement
  • The eyepatch symbolizes our veteran members, who have seen and experienced lot
  • The horns on the helmet stand for the strength I hope our group will someday have

He is inspired by a number of things including Japanese “chops” (seals), Samurai films, Shogun Warrior toys, and general iconic designs. He’s a bit East-meets-West in style as well, since he has attributes that are both soft and hard. I used pink to further soften this mad warrior, since I wanted it to welcome females into our group as equally as males.

You’ll be seeing a lot more of this Samurai, so watch out.
